Android Mobile Wallet
Issues reported regarding Android mobile wallets:
1. User did not back up their wallet and no longer have the RSTR Android application.
Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done in this situation and your RSTR balance is inaccessible.
2. User backed up their wallet and have their passphrase seed, but no Android application. Now they cannot download the app because the RSTR wallet app is not longer on the Google play store.
Step 1: Open this page on your Android device.
Step 2: Install the RSTR Android application by clicking here and following these directions:
-
- On your device, open with your package installer.
- You will be asked if you want to install the app: Click Install
- A window may appear with “Unsafe app blocked.” You will want to click “More details” and click “Install anyway.”
- The RSTR Android application will then be installed.
- A window may pop up to notify you that the RSTR Android application is outdated and does not have the latest Android security & privacy protection protections. Click OK.
- You now have downloaded the RSTR Android application.
- You will be prompted to create a new wallet or restore an old wallet. This is where you can now use your passphrase seeds to restore your wallet.
3. I have access to my RSTR Android app but I cannot see a balance because I cannot connect to the network.
We have had success with connecting the RSTR Android app to the RSTRcore desktop wallet.
-
- Open your RSTRcore desktop wallet.
- Obtain your IP address.
- Open your RSTR Android app.
- Go to settings > Change trusted node > Enter your IP address > Add node
Your Android device should now be able to show your balance after it has connected with your RSTRcore device. If you are still having issues with viewing your balance, contact Kratos on Telegram.
